Adapters to reduce or eliminate the use of cables are becoming very popular. Over a year ago had seen the IDAPT I3, and now we have to have a new adapter, smaller and cheaper: the I2. We must admit that it is not as elegant as the Messless, not as practical as wireless solutions, but for 35 euros, we can not complain.
It would be much better (and quite impossible) that all manufacturers would agree to use and allow a single cable. Sometimes we have never heard of miniUSB connector.
