Philips Wake-Up Light

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

If you hate the traditional sound of the alarm clock each morning, then the $200 Philips Wake-Up Light ought to be worth a go. This device not only lets you wake up in a gentle manner using light instead of a grating alarm sound, but it also comes with an integrated iPod dock that lets you start the day with your favorite audio tracks. Whenever you want to nod off in dreamland, you can always let the light dim off slowly until you're no longer conscious of what's happening in this world, entering REM sleep.

E-Pod Dock

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

Here's a conceptual iPod dock that could possible make the manufacturers a ton of money if it was ever released - the E-Pod Dock that crams in a whole bunch of functionality. For instance, it plays nice with your iPhone, iPod touch and iPod classic by functioning as a speaker, movie projector and alarm clock. Regardless of its diminutive size, it still offers powerful hi-fidelity audio. We think one major problem with this concept is it cannot be too portable and ought to be within range of a power outlet at all times if you're going to take advantage of the built-in projector.

Sony's Super iPod Dock Leaked Photos

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

Sony Insider has happened upon some leaked images of the CMT-Z100iR mini-sound system, which, if real, suggest this respectable-looking system has an iPod dock, CD player and USB port to complement the 20w speakers. The device also has touch panel controls, a 3.5mm audio-in jack, bass/treble adjustments, AM/FM radio and a remote control. There is no firm release date or price, though Sony Insider seems to think it will fall in the $150-$250 range, which seems pretty decent for the feature set.

Wireless Outdoor iPod Speaker

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

We believe you are going to be positively bowled over by this technological masterpiece. Here's how it works. Simply place The Wireless Outdoor Speaker indoors or outdoors. Then plug your CD player, iPod, or TV into the rubberised transmitter unit that accompanies the Wireless Speaker. When switched on the unit sends the signals from your audio device to the speaker. The result: high quality, crystal clear stereo sound wherever you are in the house or garden. No messy wires. And no lugging your hi-fi up and down the stairs.

Ozone Inflatable Rocker - With Built In Speakers

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

Naturally, sailing has its hazards. One such hazard is sinking. Should you find yourself knee deep in water, we recommend this: the Ozone Inflatable Rocker. As you may have observed, the Ozone Inflatable Rocker is inflatable. Thus, it will give you the buoyancy you need to float safely to shore. But it also has another desirable feature to make you time at sea more enjoyable: two speakers moulded into its lining which you can plug your i-Pod, TV, MP3 player, or CD player into - providing, that is, it didn't go down with the boat. As you'd expect, the Ozone Inflatable Rocker is easy to inflate and deflate. And it does not need batteries or power cables.

Jack Organizes your Earbud Cord

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

I was offered to do a review for earbud JACK, a seemingly normal piece of plastic for organizing your earbud cords. Tons of these stuffs out there. But, upon closer inspection, JACK stands out from the rest as both clever and cute!

The whole point of JACK is to keep your earbud’s cord from tangling when not in use. Most of the time, this happens after we dump our DAP together with the earbud into our bags without rolling up the cord.

Stowing your earbud with JACK is easy.

  • Throw the earbuds over his shoulders
  • Pull the cord under his foot
  • Wrap the rest around his head and feet
  • Place the plug in his hand

Simple! And you can now put away your earbud without having it entangle. You’ll be glad the next time you whip out your iPod.

MiShare - Share Your Music

Posted by EscapeDigitalMedia

Here at The Cool Hunter we are always on the look out for innovative gadgets that as well as being aesthetically pleasing, are also practical and can be used in real world situations. miShare is such a product.

One of the biggest problems that people have with iPods is that unless you have a diploma in hacking, it is extremely difficult to share your tunes, especially without getting a computer involved. That is of course until now. Want the latest album from your friends' iPod? Simply connect both iPods to the miShare unit, press the button and away you go. It's kind of like swapping football cards in the playground, although much cooler.
